Today the ashes ( Asthi ) of Dr. Bhupen Hazarika were brought to Dibrugarh to pay homage to the departed immortal man. The Ashes ( Asthi ) were placed on a dais. The lamp was lit by Hon'ble D.C Dr. K.K Dwivedi, Shri Lakhinath Gogoi ( President Dibrugarh Sahitya Sabha ), Shri Bhim Konwar ( X principal Kanoi College ), Shri Jivan Chandra Koch ( Retd S.P ), Shri Prahlad Tasha. People started lining in a queue to pay homage to the Assam Ratna.
