Chath Puja celebration on the banks of the Brahmaputra








Chath Puja celebration on the banks of the Brahmaputra river at Dibrugarh. A huge 300 metres bridge was constructed for the people to pass across the river to the otherside. The bridge was constructed on top of several fishing boats. It was a amazing view.

Celebartion of Kali Puja By a Tamilian !












Celebration of Kali Puja by creating an idol of the Goddess made of Haldi and later on decorating it with Gold ornaments. The eyes are colored by rubbing oil on a paan leaf and lighting it with a candle ! The lips are colored by applying sindoor and the idol is made on a raw coconut half peeled which is placed on a steel vessel ( Koloh ). The Puja was celebrated by a Tamilian in Dibrugarh very beautifully.

Champions of Capt. Jintu Gogoi Memorial Football Tournament.

The Moran Town Club came out as the champions during the last match of The Capt. Jintu Gogoi Memorial Football Tournament at Chowkidinghee Field on 22.10.11, after 10 days of constant playing and participation of 18 teams, alas arose the champions. The match ended up as a draw of 2 goals and was followed by penalty shots by which the Moran Town Club had beaten Tinsukia Railway.

Tribute to the 6 Famous Personalities who gave up their lives for the people.
