The Durga puja festival have come to an end. with the submergence of the deity's idols in the Mighty Brahmaputra river. More than 1000s of people from around the town as well as from villages and other places gathered and watched as one by one, idols of the Deity were emerged in the river and carried away ! As one festivals over others are at hand, as people now await for Diwali, The festivals of joy and pleasure. This year Diwali has been marked on the 26th of October 2011.
