The Dibrugarh University has launched it's newest course in the history of Assam. MA in Sattriya dance ( Performing Arts ), the inaugural ceremony took place in the ceremonial hall in the eve of 23 September 2011, with the presence of the Honorable chief guest Dr Nagen Saikia and respected Mrs Dolly Das and Mr Hasan Shariff, after performances by the students of the institution, the respected guests presented their views concerning the auspicious event. Mrs. Dolly Das also presented a song performance during the programme.
